Process of Manufacturing Hex Bars :

Stainless Steel Hex bars are manufactured with the same process as what of Stainless Steel Round Bars i.e. drawing process. To manufacture it there can be two types of raw materials either stainless steel black bars or wire. These black bars are also to be pointed and pickled before we draw it and give the shape of Hexagonal. We need 25 percent extra size of desired size hex bars. For example if we want to manufacture 20 mm A/F Stainless Steel or Duplex Steel or any other Alloy Steel Bars we need to take 25 mm round bars or wire to manufacture the same.

But there is a limitation of reduction in terms of size as far as stainless steel is concerned because of it's high tensile characteristic and that is why from smaller size to maximum 25 mm Hex bars are being manufacture for black bars or wire but above that bigger size of stainless steel hex bars are being manufactured from hot rolled hex bars only.
